W. John Thomas Funeral Home arranged my grandfather’s (Joe Richards) funeral this past June. They really took the time to get to know us as a family and made a very difficult time less stressful. Very thankful John, Melissa and Jeff were there to guide us through this process and put together a wonderful tribute to my Grandpa. I really feel they went above and beyond for my family.

Jeff, Melissa and John made our celebration of life for our grandfather an easy task. The passing of a loved one is hard enough but we were greeted with kindness, understanding and a laugh or two. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help.

The death of a parent is never easy and having both my parents died within five months of each other was extremely difficult for our family. W. John Thomas Funeral Home assisted the family both times and Jeff was the representative that came to take Mon and then Dad back to the funeral home. While always being the consummate professional, Jeff, treated my parents with the utmost dignity and compassion. Jeff helped to diffuse the confusion of the moment with his quiet reassuring manner and his presence greatly helped us through both difficult times. Jeff, answered all our questions and unobtrusively took care of that was necessary in a kind and thoughtful manner. This allowed my family to grieve and gave us the time we needed to say our goodbyes. When Jeff finally left with my father, as he drove the hearse past the room where the family was still gathered Jeff had the compassion to stop the hearse so we might have the opportunity to say one last goodbye. This meant a lot to our family and we are forever grateful for Jeff’s act of kindness. I thank the Thomas Funeral home for everything. Saying goodbye to a loved one has to be one of the most difficult things we will ever have to do. Unfortunately, this past June, we had to do just that. My husband George, lost his brother Joseph Richards. Joe’s viewing and funeral were held at W J Thomas Funeral Home. At a time when you are most vulnerable, heartbroken and grieving, you need to surrounded by family and friends to be comforted. The staff at W J Thomas were wonderful, caring and respectful. We stayed well past 9 p.m. the evening of Joe’s viewing but, never did we feel rushed to leave, or made to feel uncomfortable for lingering. The reception they provided after the funeral was exceptional. There was an abundance of food, with an assortment of sandwiches to pastries and fruit, several types of beverages and not to be forgotten the friendly staff who were always around to answer any questions we had. W J Thomas provided excellent service at one of the most difficult times for our family. Thank you from George & Shirley Richards

W. John Thomas more than exceeded our expectations during my Husband's funeral which was an extremely hard time for our Family. Your service and assistance with the necessary paperwork made it much easier and less stressful. The premises are beautiful and the Visitation Room was well organized with memories of him, pictures and flowers. Thank You John, Melissa and Jeff for your kindness and professionalism. You were all there for us every step of the way during this very difficult time. You made us feel like Family.

Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy. The care and compassion our family received from John, Jeffrey and Melissa can’t be described. They went above and beyond for for us and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted and then some. From the planning, the visitation, service and reception, everything was more than we could have asked for. They really make you feel comforted in your time of loss. Our family can’t begin to express our gratitude for all they did to take care of everything and all of us.
